Transparent Pricing for
Roofing, Siding, and Gutters

Home improvement projects can be an investment. We believe you deserve to have as much information as possible, and we know pricing is something most companies don’t talk about upfront. At AIC, we do thing differently than most contractors, and we’re not afraid to talk about cost.

4 Factors That Affect The Price of Your Home Improvement Project

Like the video above mentioned, there are many factors that affect the price of a new roof. The factors below also influence the pricing of other projects, like siding or gutter replacements.

Project Size

The size of the project is the number one factor in how how much the replacement will cost. A larger home will cost more because it will require more materials and labor.

Project Complexity

A complex project, like a roof with lots of dormers and skylights, will be more expensive to install. On the flip side, a roof with no skylights or dormers will cost less.

Material Selection

The materials you choose to use with your new project also greatly impact the cost of the replacement. For example, if you choose to install James Hardie siding, it will be better quality, but will cost more than if you chose vinyl.

Job Details

When it comes to replacements, every detail matters. Is the jobsite easy to access? Will any wood need to be replaced? Is there a lot of landscaping to watch out for? These things could impact the price of the job.

How Much Does a Roof Repair Cost?

Roofing systems are complex and made up of many components. As such, there are a wide variety of
repairs that may need to be made on your roof, with a variety of costs. Below, we’ve listed some of the
most common areas for leaks to occur, and the most common repairs we make.

Damaged Shingles

If your roof has missing or damaged shingles, the cost to fix them will depend on how many shingles are missing. If only a few are affected, you can expect to pay around $600 – $1,200.

Skylights

You can expect to pay around $1,900 – $2,700 to replace an existing skylight. This price also depends on the type of mount, if it has controlled openings, and other customizable options.

Chimneys

Many chimney leaks are caused by flashing problems. The cost this depends on the size of the chimney. In most cases, you can expect to pay around $900 – $1,500.

Flashing

Flashing is installed around walls, dormers, skylights, chimneys, and other areas where the roof meets a wall. The cost to replace flashing depends on how much is needed. The average price range is $1,200 – $1,900.

Dormers

Dormers are one of the most common areas for leaks to occur. These leaks are often due to flashing or shingle problems. You can expect to pay around $2,600 – $3,000 to repair a dormer leak.

Penetrations

A roof penetration is anything installed on top of the roof, such as a satellite dish or solar panels. The cost to repair a roof penetration depends on the area impacted. You can expect to pay around $500 – $800.

Siding Replacement Costs

The price ranges below are based on a 2000 square foot home and are dependent on many variables. Package pricing will vary depending on the specific siding, but the package features will remain the same.
